About The Position

The Talent Acquisition (TA) Sourcer is responsible for identifying, attracting, and engaging top talent for the organization. This role focuses on developing and implementing innovative sourcing strategies to build a robust pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future hiring needs. The Talent Acquisition Sourcer collaborates with recruiters and hiring managers to understand job requirements and proactively identify potential candidates through various channels, all in support of Nava’s culture and mission.

Requirements

  • 1-3+ years previous sourcing or full desk recruiting experience
  • Previous experience sourcing active and passive candidates primarily via LinkedIn. Other resources such as GitHub, StackOverflow, etc., are helpful but not required
  • Ability to leverage social media for sourcing
  • Previous experience with Boolean searches
  • Experience using sourcing tools and applicant tracking systems
  • Experience working in a full life cycle recruiting organization
  • Have experience researching and market mapping to proactively attract and retain qualified candidates
  • Ability to rigorously prioritize, organize, and multitask; simultaneously building and monitoring diverse candidate pipelines for multiple roles at varying stages in the process
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to track sourcing metrics, draw insights, and translate into action
  • Curiosity and problem-solving mindset; able to learn about and source for novel roles, research talent availability, and develop creative solutions to sourcing challenges
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States
  • Ability to meet any other requirements for government contracts for which candidates are hired
  • Work authorization that doesn’t require visa sponsorship, now or in the future
  • May be subject to a government background check or security clearance, depending on the contract

  • Ability to build and maintain long-term pipeline for hard-to-fill technical and engineering roles preferred
  • Ability to network and build long-term relationships with passive candidates preferred
  • Technical industry knowledge and general comprehension of relevant technical skills, relevant companies, engineering communities, and university sources

Responsibilities

  • Partner with hiring managers and recruiters to understand hiring needs and develop creative strategies for engaging passive talent across multiple engineering role types.
  • Partner with recruiters and recruiting leaders to help develop an overall sourcing strategy.
  • Strategize on building pipelines of qualified candidates from a variety of sources, including accessing pools of talent from historically underrepresented groups in the tech industry.
  • Research markets, companies, teams and role types to help drive and build a consistent pipeline of candidates who are qualified for currently available and upcoming roles.
  • Identify and engage candidates and monitor throughout the recruitment process.
  • Understand how to best use qualitative and quantitative data to influence hiring and recruitment strategies and continuously improve overall effectiveness of the recruitment process, as well as improving candidate experience.
