About The Position

The Talent Acquisition Lead at Avangrid is a pivotal role within the talent acquisition team, responsible for managing the entire recruitment life cycle. This position involves collaborating with hiring managers and other stakeholders to ensure effective recruitment strategies are implemented, focusing on attracting high-quality candidates for various roles. The lead recruiter will also mentor team members and lead special projects, contributing to the overall success of the talent acquisition function.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of experience as a trusted advisor to hiring managers and stakeholders.
  • Experience in corporate and/or agency recruiting, particularly in high volume recruitment.
  • Extensive knowledge of web sourcing techniques.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, web-based technologies, and social media platforms.
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in recruiting within technical, engineering, or corporate functions.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all phases of the recruiting process for assigned client groups, including kick-off calls with hiring managers, posting positions, sourcing/screening, coordinating interviews, and onboarding.
  • Assist Talent Acquisition Manager with training, coaching, and mentoring team members on internal processes.
  • Serve as a resource for the recruitment team, acting as the first point of contact for questions or escalations.
  • Lead special projects for the talent acquisition team.
  • Attend college and career fairs as needed, which may involve some travel.
  • Collaborate with People Business Partners and hiring managers to understand business and talent needs.
  • Leverage various sourcing strategies based on role characteristics and desired capabilities.
  • Create and implement pipeline strategies for high-value and/or high-volume positions.
  • Network through industry contacts and associations to attract talent.
  • Deliver high levels of customer service to internal clients, providing regular updates and following up with candidates throughout the interview process.
  • Follow appropriate process flows and compliance procedures.
  • Work with internal groups to establish a recognizable employer of choice reputation.
