Lumentum is seeking a motivated and curious Talent Acquisition Intern to join our global recruiting team for Summer 2026. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, high-growth environment while contributing to meaningful projects that directly impact how we attract and hire top talent. As part of our global intern cohort, you’ll not only work closely with our Talent Acquisition (TA) team but also collaborate with fellow interns across functions, building connections and gaining exposure to the broader business.

Requirements

  • Rising Senior (graduating 2026 or 2027) pursuing a Bachelor’s degree
  • Strong interest in Talent Acquisition, recruiting, HR technology, or AI in HR
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Curious, proactive, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and take initiative

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred major: Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Talent Acquisition team to support day-to-day recruiting activities and ensure an exceptional candidate experience (“candidate care”) throughout the hiring process
  • Assist in reviewing current recruiting workflows and identifying opportunities to streamline and improve efficiency
  • Help design and build a global job database, organizing roles, job descriptions, and hiring insights to support scalability and consistency
  • Explore and recommend ways to leverage AI in the recruiting process, including areas such as: Candidate sourcing and talent mapping Resume screening and matching Candidate engagement and communication Process automation and workflow optimization
  • Partner with the TA team to pilot or test AI-driven tools or process enhancements where applicable
  • Support coordination and communication with candidates, ensuring timely updates and a positive experience
  • Participate in and contribute to TA projects and continuous improvement initiatives, bringing fresh ideas and perspectives
  • Collaborate with the broader summer intern cohort, participating in cross-functional projects, networking events, and learning sessions
