About The Position

The Director, Talent Acquisition will lead a team of recruiters while also staying hands-on in sourcing and engaging top talent. This role requires both strategic leadership and a roll-up-your-sleeves approach to proactively identifying and attracting candidates through creative outreach and networking. The ideal candidate is a dynamic leader who can drive the overall talent strategy that aligns with the company's growth and workforce planning needs. This role will oversee full-cycle recruiting, employer branding, talent pipeline development, and process optimization. Candidates will be based in a PCC manufacturing facility in one of the following locations: Cleveland, OH; Houston, TX; Orange County, CA; Portland, OR.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in talent acquisition, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong background in recruiting for manufacturing, engineering, or aerospace industries.
  • Experience leading remote teams and working in a distributed environment.
  • Strong ability to build and nurture talent networks, particularly for hard-to-fill roles.
  • Expertise in creative sourcing strategies beyond traditional job boards.
  • Experience implementing and optimizing recruiting technologies and ATS platforms.
  • A data-driven mindset and ability to use metrics and measurements to drive success.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a proactive talent acquisition strategy to support current and future hiring needs.
  • Lead and mentor a team of recruiters, ensuring best practices in sourcing, screening, and hiring top talent.
  • Collaborate with business leaders and HR partners to understand workforce demands and provide data-driven recruiting solutions.
  • Build and maintain a strong network of potential candidates, ensuring a pipeline of top-tier talent is readily available for critical roles.
  • Develop innovative and creative sourcing strategies to proactively engage passive candidates.
  • Drive employer branding initiatives to position the company as an employer of choice within the aerospace industry.
  • Optimize recruitment processes and tools, leveraging technology and analytics for continuous improvement.
  • Oversee executive and niche technical hiring, ensuring a high-touch candidate experience.
  • Manage relationships with external recruiting agencies, job boards, and other sourcing partners.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends, competitive hiring practices, and workforce planning strategies.
