About The Position

The Talent Acquisition Coordinator at The University of Kansas Health System plays a crucial role in the post-offer employment process, ensuring that all conditions of employment are met for new hires. This position focuses on providing a seamless and positive experience for candidates during the pre-boarding process, facilitating their transition into the organization.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 2 or more years of administrative/clerical experience required.
  • Excellent computer and organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize assignments and manage time effectively.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to give group presentations.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university preferred.
  • Prior human resources experience with an emphasis on recruitment support strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates competence in critical thinking, interpersonal relationships, and technical skills.
  • Posts active job openings on the Health System's web-based application system as required.
  • Determines the nature and scope of background screens for accepted conditional offers of employment.
  • Assists new candidates in completing pre-boarding documents and navigating the onboarding process.
  • Reviews application information to conduct background screens for clarity and completeness.
  • Analyzes background screen results and investigates any missing or adverse information with candidates.
  • Verifies candidates' licensure, certifications, and registrations through primary sources.
  • Reviews and generates accurate job offer letters for candidates.
  • Submits offer letters and relevant pre-boarding documents to candidates for completion.
  • Ensures timely completion of all pre-boarding documents and conditions of employment.
  • Follows up with candidates on missing information or issues with pre-boarding tasks.
  • Creates and audits new employee personnel files and scans pre-boarding documents into the system.
  • Maintains a new employee list and disseminates it to appropriate departments and hiring managers.
  • Completes the Employer Portion of Form I-9 and confirms work eligibility using E-Verify.
  • Assists with new hire orientation setup and check-in, creating temporary name badges and paperwork storage.
  • Communicates expected number of new employees starting employment.
  • Compiles job advertisements and communicates with job boards and advertising agencies.
  • Prepares reports, correspondence, and departmental materials using various office equipment and software.
  • Assists the HR Department with various human resources programs for all employees.
  • Tracks and reports on invoices paid.
  • Participates in staff meetings and committees as requested.
  • Assists recruiters in scheduling and/or screening applications when needed.
  • Covers for the Front Desk HR Assistant when needed.
