About The Position

Savannah Logistics Group has an immediate need for a Talent Acquisition Coordinator for our 250 Grange Road location. The Talent Acquisition Coordinator is responsible for sourcing, recruiting, and onboarding qualified drivers to support company growth and operational needs. This role focuses heavily on driver recruiting, lead generation, and relationship building with prospective and current drivers. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of recruiting or sales quotas and a background in marketing, sales, or business development. Success in this position requires strong communication skills, persistence in sourcing new candidates, and the ability to build lasting relationships with drivers. Requirements

  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding recruiting or sales quotas.
  • Background in recruiting, sales, marketing, or business development preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to cold call, network, and proactively generate leads.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems or recruiting platforms (Tenstreet experience preferred).
  • Ability to manage multiple candidates and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work well with all levels of staff and leadership, as well as with external clients and vendors.
  • Must be able to work within a fast-paced team environment and prioritize tasks in the face of conflicting priorities.
  • Attention to detail is essential.
  • Must be an excellent multitasker who remains organized even when receiving data from various sources.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing & sales, or equivalent combination of education and related recruiting experience.
  • Strong familiarity with recruiting and business practices and procedures.
  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience preferred.
  • Employee is required to sit approximately 50%, stand 25%, and walk 25% of work time.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.

Responsibilities

  • Initiate leads by networking, cold-calling prospects, and building relationships as part of a coordinated recruiting strategy.
  • Review and manage leads through the Tenstreet recruiting portal.
  • Source candidates through job boards, resume databases, professional networks, and driver referrals.
  • Research and identify the most effective hiring markets for driver recruitment.
  • Communicate regularly with driver recruits to provide updates on their application and onboarding status.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with drivers through both electronic communication and face-to-face interactions locally.
  • Assist with improvement of Independent Contractor and Company Driver retention by promoting a positive business environment and serving as a trusted resource for drivers.
  • Conduct driver retention calls and termination/exit interviews when necessary.
  • Work collaboratively with executives, directors, managers, and supervisors across departments to meet recruiting and hiring objectives.
  • Coordinate with the Asset Manager regarding available trucks that need to be seated, leased, or rented.
  • Ensure drivers submit all required paperwork prior to arrival so there are no barriers to onboarding or leasing on.
  • Support continuous improvement of recruiting processes and strategies.
  • Generating recruiting reports and tracking recruiting metrics.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
