About The Position

Under the direction of the Talent Acquisition Senior Manager, the Talent Acquisition Assistant will work jointly with the North American (NAMR) and Associate recruiting teams to execute the annual consulting recruiting pipeline and support the complete life cycle of the Great Lakes office's consulting staff recruiting efforts. This includes event planning and execution, candidate pipeline development, marketing and branding related activities, planning and participating in the interview process, building of interview schedules, candidate communication and relationship building, and all conversion activities. This position requires confidentiality and professionalism and someone who can deliver in a fast-paced environment with the ability to adapt quickly to change. The Talent Acquisition Assistant must have effective communication skills, both written and verbal, the ability to work independently, prioritize work, and have a proactive approach.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree required
  • 1-2 years of recruiting, HR, or relevant work experience preferred
  • High customer service and relationship orientation - strong interpersonal and communication skills, highly responsive, want to deliver great results at all times, able to develop effective working relationships with colleagues across the organization and candidates
  • Excellent time and project management skills. You have clear systems and composure to deal with multiple tasks at once, with a great attention to detail and accuracy, particularly when under pressure
  • Organizational skills to assist with all the behind-the-scenes magic while providing creative solutions, driving our high-level customer service, and positively impacting our recruiting efforts
  • A strong intellectual curiosity. You're a creative thinker, interested in the bigger picture, always looking to solve problems
  • Self-motivated and trustworthy. You take initiative and can work independently, exercising judgment in managing confidential/sensitive information
  • Advanced Computer proficiency: Windows applications (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel); Database familiarity
  • Ability to work overtime during peak recruiting periods

Responsibilities

  • Cultivate relationships with candidates, following up on candidate inquiries, creating positive BCG recruiting experiences by serving as a friendly, welcoming face to BCG
  • Develop and own relationships with campus career services, campus clubs, and other campus organizations, developing BCG's brand on campus
  • Manage logistics (planning, correspondence, execution) of the recruiting process from marketing and event planning, through screening, interviewing (interviewer swaps, candidate communication, email logistics), and conversion
  • Provide support throughout the year for the Great Lakes office recruiting activities and efforts, such as the Associate and Consultant summer internship programs, Welcome Weekends, and other various recruiting events and conversion efforts
  • Manage the Great Lakes recruiting cadre training, commitment, and performance tracking processes (select and train interviewers, staff NAMR events and interviews with the right mix of consulting staff, ensure commitments are upheld, etc.)
  • Partner with NAMR and Great Lakes leadership to ensure a smooth execution of recruiting strategy; build network and liaise with peers in other offices and regional recruiting to ensure alignment on all initiative
  • Coordinate programs and events across multiple dimensions and understanding end to end planning processes capturing all required details
  • Organizes your roles and responsibilities and effectively communicating updates and progress with team members
  • Assist with special projects and analyses as needed
