Our client is seeking a Talend (ETL) Developer to join its data integration team. The team is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining enterprise-grade ETL solutions supporting critical business and data platforms. The key focus is to deliver reliable, standardized, and scalable data integration processes, while closely aligning with business needs, architectural guidelines, and development best practices. The role covers the full lifecycle, from early requirements and functional analysis through implementation, documentation, and transition to run teams, ensuring a high level of quality and long-term maintainability of the ETL landscape.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as an ETL Developer with strong hands-on expertise in Talend
  • Solid understanding of data integration concepts, ETL design patterns, and best practices
  • Strong functional mindset with the ability to bridge business requirements and technical solutions
  • Experience working in enterprise or regulated environments with defined standards and methodologies
  • Proven ability to collaborate with business, data, and technical stakeholders
  • Strong focus on code quality, testing, documentation, and maintainability
  • Experience supporting production environments and managing ETL incidents or enhancements
  • Ability to take ownership, make sound technical decisions, and challenge requirements when necessar

Responsibilities

  • Participate in early phases of requirements analysis to design ETL solutions aligned with standards and best practices
  • Translate business needs into efficient, scalable Talend ETL processes while minimizing custom developments
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain ETL jobs in a production environment
  • Ensure ETL implementations comply with architectural guidelines, code standards, and quality expectations
  • Collaborate closely with Product Owners, architects, data, QA, and DevOps teams throughout the delivery lifecycle
  • Produce clear functional and technical documentation for developed ETL processes
  • Support build-to-run transition and knowledge transfer to support teams
  • Contribute to corrective and evolutionary maintenance, performance optimization, and technical debt reduction
