We employ more than 15,000 people globally to support our great brands: Levi's®, Dockers®, Denizen® and Signature by Levi Strauss & Co.™ Reporting to the Store Manager, the Levi's Tailor elevates and customizes the consumer experience by providing alterations, repairs, and an outlet to inspire consumers to co-create garment customization. You will be focused on cascading the Tailor Shop experience to the consumer and help create lifetime Levi's fans.
Requirements
- Experience with denim industry and current/upcoming trends.
- Understanding of textiles and fabrics with skills in sewing, tailoring and textile repair.
- Awareness of design trends
- Enjoy engaging with clients and store team
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 1 years of sewing/tailoring experience and a knowledge of jeans construction
- Knowledge of machines used in the sewing of denim products.
- While performing the responsibilities of the job you may be asked to stand, walk, sit, talk and hear, use hands to type and use the tools of tailor shop.
- You are occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, lift, climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Open to working a flexible schedule to meet our needs, including evening and weekend shifts
Responsibilities
- Implement basic alteration services (i.e. Hemming, patch and repair, tapering) and more technical alterations (e.g. Fitting/tailoring items other than jeans, where more technical equipment is necessary; detailed appearance altering processes, embroidery)
- Exemplify and have customer service skills to enhance our clients experience.
- Educate and trains store teams on customer offerings provided by the Tailor Shop.
- Help with responsibilities on the selling floor and fitting room as requested by store management
- Comply with all Levi's® policy and programs.
