About The Position

Deliver instruction through pull-out, push-in, or hybrid service models, utilizing appropriate instructional strategies, materials, and assessment practices in accordance with state law and district guidelines. Develop and implement instructional plans aligned with district curriculum and Gifted & Talented frameworks to support the academic, cognitive, and creative development of gifted learners. Establish and maintain effective learning environments conducive to the needs of gifted learners while collaborating with instructional staff to plan lessons, coordinate services, and ensure continuity of instruction. Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation required by the district and participate in the district’s evaluation and performance assessment processes and ensure program implementation and compliance with all applicable state and district guidelines, including student identification, assessment, documentation, program design, scheduling, professional development, and parent communication related to G/T services. Support family and community engagement by assisting in the communication and interpretation of G/T programs through meetings, events, and outreach activities. Utilize student assessment data to design differentiated instruction, enrichment opportunities, and targeted support for identified gifted students. Effectively coordinate schedules and services across multiple campuses as assigned and comply with all federally funded time and effort reporting requirements, as applicable.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university required.
  • Valid Texas teacher certificate with required endorsements for subject and subject level assigned required.
  • One year of student teaching or approved internship required.
  • Demonstrated general knowledge of curriculum and instruction.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of various routine tasks, duties, and procedures and the ability to follow specific instructions with little or no previous experience.
  • Demonstrated flexibility to cope with the challenges of a rapidly changing world.
  • Demonstrated willingness to remain current with the latest developments in the profession
