Tactical Security Officer- Retail
About The Position
As a Security Officer Full Time Screener in NEW ORLEANS, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener in a busy retail location, where you will help monitor entry activity, conduct screening procedures, and support a welcoming environment through strong communication and customer service. In this role, you will help identify security-related concerns, remain visible, and work as part of an agile, reliable, and innovative team that puts people first and acts with integrity.
Requirements
- Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access protocols, and/or emergency response activities at a retail location.
- Screen visitors, team members, and/or deliveries at designated entry points while following post instructions and documenting security-related concerns as needed.
- Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and report details according to site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the store, entrance areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
- Support day-to-day retail operations by assisting with directional information, monitoring high-traffic areas, and communicating with store personnel regarding security-related issues.
