About The Position

GardaWorld Security Services is now hiring a Tactical Security Guard. This role requires a minimum of five to seven years of security experience, along with specific permits for baton, OC spray, pepper spray, and handcuffs. Candidates with military or law enforcement backgrounds are encouraged to apply. The position demands a keen sense of observation to read the environment, anticipate risks, and act accordingly. The Tactical Security Guard will be responsible for patrolling various environments, including retail stores, airports, and detention centers, while maintaining physical readiness throughout the shift.

Requirements

• Must have a state security license and additional 32hr. BSIS security trainings.
• Must provide documentation of a high school diploma or GED.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must have at least five to seven years of security experience.
• Must have baton permit, OC spray permit, pepper spray permit, and handcuff permit.
• Must pass an extensive screening process.
• First aid certification is an asset.
• Ability to stand and walk for the entire shift.

Nice To Haves

• Security, military, or law enforcement experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Observe and survey the area, providing reports on activity at the assigned location.
• Work indoors and outdoors in a variable environment.
• Provide rapid response in critical situations.
• Read and write detailed reports.
• Enforce customer procedures, regulations, and standards as necessary.
• Patrol sensitive areas to spot suspicious activity.
• React quickly to threats or incidents.
• Detain and search individuals as needed.
• Document incidents and actions taken.
• Respond to alarms and conduct on-site checks.
• Collaborate with law enforcement during serious incidents.
• Ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property.
