About The Position

Sabre Systems is currently recruiting for a Tactical Combat Training System Increment II (TCTS II) Systems Engineer (Journeyman) for support to the Naval Aviation Training Systems and Ranges Program Office (PMA-205) at Patuxent River Naval Air Station in Lexington Park, MD. PMA-205 provides full lifecycle acquisition of naval aviation platforms and general training systems, training range instrumentation systems, and distributed mission training centers. The TCTS II is a next generation secure, Live-Virtual-Constructive (LVC) enabling, air combat training system that offers realistic threat scenarios and secure cross-service training. Location is local telework and on-site as required. The selected candidate will be responsible for but not limited to: Primary Responsibilities: Applies programmatic or technical knowledge by identifying, formulating, designing, and/or testing practical solutions to engineering problems Guides to the development of modern complex systems Employ systems engineering methods and tools in the development of systems Perform TCTS II design analysis and in-service support. Coordinate the TCTS II interim flight clearances (IFC) processing collaborating with the Technical Warrant Holders and the Airworthiness & Cyber Safe Office. Coordination with the Software Lead for the correction of deficiency software updates. Proactively manage the product Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) and provide status updates to the Program Office Manages Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) development and processing Performs risk management activities, assess and track risk mitigations Performs programmatic or technical knowledge identifying, formulating, designing, and/or testing practical solutions to engineering problems

Requirements

  • Technical or Scientific BS or BA degree from an accredited college or university degree
  • At least three (3) years of recent and relevant experience in a position related to the labor category description is required.
  • Demonstrated experience in an area of engineering expertise is required.
  • Self-directed team player with proven ability to deliver results efficiently and interact professionally across all management levels
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to present and defend technical recommendations
  • High-level problem-solving and interpersonal skills
  • Adaptability to work effectively in dynamic environments
  • Active Top Secret Security Clearance required; TS/SCI eligibility a plus.
  • This position will require access to SAP and most likely SCI programs.
  • Must be a US Citizen
