About The Position

Introduction to the job We are seeking a proactive and independent Indirect Procurement Tactical Buyer to strengthen our procurement organization. In this role, you will manage a portfolio of suppliers either a larger number of non‑critical suppliers autonomously or more complex, critical suppliers in close collaboration with Sourcing Leads. A key part of your scope will include supporting West Coast Facility Management operations and Development & Engineering (D&E) procurement needs, ensuring timely sourcing execution, strong supplier engagement, and alignment with regional and engineering requirements. You will work across the business to understand needs, resolve issues, and drive supplier performance and development in alignment with organizational goals. Operating with minimal supervision, you will play a vital role in improving supplier relationships, optimizing sourcing activities, and supporting the organization’s long‑term strategic initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in related field or minimum of 4 years of experience in Procurement environment.
  • Strong customer focus and commitment to customer satisfaction through prioritization, quality, efficiency, and professionalism.
  • Ability to complete assignments with attention to detail and high degree of accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Supplier & Relationship Management Manage a portfolio of non‑critical suppliers independently and support Sourcing Leads with critical suppliers.
  • Build strong operational and tactical supplier relationships, translating business needs including those from Facility Management and D&E into actionable supplier development plans.
  • Drive supplier performance improvements by developing KPI‑focused action plans and long‑term strategies.
  • Procurement & Sourcing Execution Lead the full requisition‑to‑pay process, ensuring accurate master data, process standardization, and efficient execution.
  • Manage sourcing activities for non‑critical suppliers, including market investigations, tender preparation, and tender execution.
  • Support Facility Management procurement needs (e.g., services, maintenance suppliers, site, and construction operations support) by executing sourcing events, maintaining supplier relationships, and managing service-level expectations.
  • Support D&E procurement requirements by coordinating sourcing for prototypes, technical components, or project-based needs and ensuring timely supplier engagement aligned with engineering timelines.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of supplier and category strategies, including Facility Management and D&E categories.
  • Assist Sourcing Leads in preparing sourcing activities for critical or strategic suppliers.
  • Contract & Cost Management Independently negotiate single‑event contracts and pricing agreements for non‑critical suppliers across operational, facility, and engineering-related categories.
  • Support the preparation and negotiation of framework agreements and master purchase agreements for critical suppliers.
  • Conduct cost and pricing analyses, prepare negotiation proposals, and maintain active pricing strategies for assigned suppliers.
  • Business Reporting & Strategic Planning Maintain supplier performance updates and create supplier account plans for non‑critical suppliers.
  • Provide regular reporting on supplier performance, risk, and KPI progress.
  • Offer insights and recommendations to stakeholders in Operations, Facility Management, and D&E based on supplier performance and market trends.
  • Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement Identify and drive process-improvement initiatives within procurement, Facility Management operations, and supplier interfaces.
  • Promote and coach operational excellence practices, ensuring improvements are embedded both internally and at suppliers.
