About The Position

Regal Boats is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Tacker to join our Upholstery team. The Tacker plays a key role in securing upholstery materials to boat interiors with precision, contributing to the exceptional quality our customers expect.

Requirements

A minimum of 1 year of experience with upholstery tacking, furniture assembly, or a similar hands-on trade is preferred.
Ability to operate pneumatic staplers, tackers, and hand tools safely and effectively.
Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship standards.
Physical ability to perform repetitive tasks, including bending, pulling, stretching, and kneeling.
Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment.
Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
Ability to work a 10-hour shift and flexible to work planned and unplanned overtime.
Conversational English skills and the ability to understand work instructions.
Commitment to wearing and maintaining proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Responsibilities

Secure pre-sewn upholstery covers and materials to boat interiors using pneumatic staplers and tackers.
Stretch, align, and fit upholstery materials smoothly over foam and structural components.
Inspect work to ensure a tight fit, wrinkle-free surfaces, and high-quality appearance.
Perform minor adjustments and trimming as needed to achieve proper fit and finish.
Follow daily production schedules and work instructions with accuracy.
Communicate with the sewing and assembly teams to ensure seamless production flow.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, following safety and quality standards.
Adhere to production deadlines while maintaining a strong attention to detail.
Perform basic tool maintenance, such as clearing jams or replacing staples.
Support other Upholstery Department tasks as assigned.
