About The Position
FUNCTION: MIG Tack Welding and/or Loading on Submerged Arc Weld Line
Requirements
- Knowledge and use of hand tools.
- Ability to use overhead crane.
- Work safely and follow all established OSHA safety regulations.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Must pass fillet weld break test for in house certification.
Nice To Haves
- Basic blueprint knowledge a plus
Responsibilities
- Verify conformation of workpieces to specifications, using square, rulers, and measuring tape.
- Fit material together.
- Tack-weld fitted material together.
- Proper use of Oxygen / Acetylene torch, performing beveling of plate with 9” grinder.
- Perform similar job-related duties as assigned.
