Requirements

  • 10+ years in architecting and implementing cloud-native data solutions.
  • 5+ years of experience with Tableau Server and/or Tableau Cloud.
  • Strong client-facing communication and project management skills.
  • Cloud service expertise, especially with AWS and Azure.
  • Experience in enterprise data platform operations and incident response.
  • Knowledge in Tableau Server maintenance and upgrades.
  • Strong SQL skills for debugging and optimizing queries.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD tooling.
  • Experience with data integration tools.
  • Problem-solving skills and a mindset geared towards continuous learning.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and manage Tableau Server and Tableau Cloud including security and user access.
  • Troubleshoot refresh failures and improve Tableau report performance.
  • Design and implement large-scale data solutions on platforms like Snowflake and AWS.
  • Create and optimize Tableau reports and dashboards.
  • Provide performance tuning recommendations for Tableau Server.
  • Lead data migrations to cloud platforms ensuring integration across systems.
  • Implement automation for platform reliability and productivity.
  • Establish best practices for platform security and Data Governance.
  • Deliver consulting for deploying and managing Tableau solutions.
  • Run client communications and manage operations effectively.
  • Respond to incidents and resolve complex production issues.
  • Document best practices and develop training materials.
  • Collaborate with various teams and mentor junior engineers.
