About The Position

CTG is seeking to fill a Tableau Developer (Business Intelligence Analyst) position for our client. Location: Remote Duration: 6 months Duties: Design, develop, and maintain interactive Tableau dashboards and reports to support business decision-making. Translate business requirements into technical specifications and data visualization solutions. Stand up, configure, and administer Tableau environments (Tableau Server or Tableau Cloud). Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, define KPIs, and deliver actionable insights. Optimize performance of dashboards, data extracts, and queries for scalability and efficiency. Develop and maintain SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze data from relational databases and data warehouses. Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across reporting solutions. Implement and maintain data security, governance, and role-based access controls. Support ongoing enhancements, troubleshooting, and user support for BI solutions. Participate in Agile or iterative development processes, including sprint planning and reviews. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. Requirements

  • Strong Tableau development expertise, including dashboards, calculated fields, parameters, and data blending.
  • Proficiency in SQL and working with relational databases and data warehouses.
  • Experience administering Tableau Server or Tableau Cloud environments.
  • Solid understanding of data visualization best practices and storytelling with data.
  • Knowledge of data governance, security, and access controls.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience developing Tableau dashboards and reports.
  • Proven experience standing up and administering Tableau environments (Tableau Server or Tableau Cloud).
  • Experience working in Agile or iterative delivery environments preferred.
  • Experience supporting enterprise-level BI and analytics solutions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with cloud data platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Snowflake (preferred).
  • Exposure to complementary BI/analytics tools such as Power BI or Alteryx (nice to have).
  • Tableau certifications such as Tableau Desktop Specialist, Certified Data Analyst, or Tableau Server Certified Associate are a plus.
