Senior Business Intelligence Analyst (Remote Eligible)| Pay Range: $ 87,950.00 - $112,190.00 Business Intelligence Analyst II| Pay Range: $70,320.00 - $ 87.890.00 Join our IT Data Services team as a Tableau Business Intelligence Analyst! At Southwest Power Pool (SPP), we keep the lights on for millions of people by ensuring reliable electricity across our 14-state region. As a Business Intelligence Analyst, you’ll play a vital role in how we use data to drive decisions, improve efficiency, and support our mission to keep the grid running. In this role, you’ll collaborate with business groups to design, build, and optimize dashboards using Tableau and other BI tools. You’ll dive into SQL development, build and streamline data pipelines, and help turn complex datasets into clear, actionable insights. You’ll also administer the Tableau platform for the enterprise—handling user access, upgrades, and troubleshooting—while supporting teams in creating impactful dashboards. We’re looking for someone who’s curious, detail-oriented, and loves solving problems with data. If you have experience with Tableau (or another BI platform), a knack for SQL, and a passion for turning data into solutions, this role will give you the opportunity to grow your expertise while working on high-visibility, high-impact projects. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Senior Business Intelligence Analyst (Remote Eligible): Six (6) years of relevant experience in IT development and/or support, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, preferably in Tableau
  • Business Intelligence Analyst II: Three (3) years of relevant experience in IT development and/or support, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, preferably in Tableau
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows, Unix, or Linux operating systems, and database management systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical abilities.
  • Willingness to continue developing technical and analytical skills.
  • Ability to understand, comply with, and enforce SPP policies and procedures.

Nice To Haves

  • Two (2) or more years applicable utility industry experience
  • Tableau Desktop Specialist or Certified Associate certification.
  • Certifications in data management or business intelligence tools, such as: Oracle Database SQL Certified Associate SAS Certified Specialist: Visual Business Analytics Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate
