About The Position

The Table Grape Grower Relations Representative is responsible for the procurement and assessment of California and Mexican table grapes as well maintaining relationships with the growers that provide them. This position is also responsible for supervising field operations for California and Mexican table grapes, including quality control and harvesting activities.

Requirements

  • Experience in import operations, specifically on fresh product/fruit.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in excel.
  • Strong data analysis and reporting skills, including proficiency in creating financial models and dashboards.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work with cross-functional teams and growers.
  • Familiarity with project management tools and techniques.
  • Understanding of facilities management processes and the ability to analyze work orders and system data is a plus.
  • 5-7 years of experience in the fruit industry, with a strong understanding of fruit sourcing, quality control, and general accounting practices.
  • Bachelor’s Degree Preferred but not required. Preferably in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • 50-70% Travel

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with the Category Manager to ensure business needs have been met.
  • Recruit new growers and maintain relationships with existing growers as directed by Category Manager.
  • Supervising all field activities including, but not limited to, harvesting, material distribution, quality control of harvest.
  • Communicate both good and bad news effectively with Dayka & Hackett, LLC., team and growers as necessary.
  • Provide annual crop estimates (both volume and expected quality) for assigned growers.
  • Be an expert on table grape varieties and how their characteristics relate to sales.
  • Be able to assist field operations for other categories outside of table grapes as necessary.
