About The Position

Responsible for providing exemplary guest service while dealing. The position involves dealing games including any of the following: Blackjack and variations, Craps, Roulette, Three Card Poker, Fortune Pai Gow, Bonus Let it Ride & Ultimate Texas Hold’em. The dealer must deal games according to Chinook Winds policies & procedures, NIGC, Tribal policies, State Compact, and Tribal gaming regulations. The dealer is also responsible for protecting Chinook Winds assets, determining that bets are in compliance with table limits, making payoffs and collections, identifying and reporting any irregularities in play to supervisors, and providing technical assistance to customers regarding Chinook Winds games such as how to play, rules, limits, etc. All duties must be performed in accordance with Chinook Winds Casino Resort customer service standards. The dealer maintains general knowledge and provides information to guests of Chinook Winds Casino Resort events, programs, and services, and provides input or recommendations for improvements and changes in processes or services. Other duties may be assigned. Note: Can only deal the games in which the Table Games Dealer has current certification.

Requirements

• Must be 21 years or older.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• One-year prior dealing experience or successfully completed dealer school.
• Must pass a dealing audition.
• Must obtain a Siletz Tribal Gaming License.
• Must obtain games certifications in all games with the exception of Craps and Roulette within 6 months of being hired.
• Demonstrated ability in basic mathematical calculations.
• Dexterity and motor skills to handle chips and cards.

Responsibilities

• Deals games including Blackjack, Craps, Roulette, Three Card Poker, Fortune Pai Gow, Bonus Let it Ride & Ultimate Texas Hold’em.
• Deals games according to Chinook Winds policies & procedures, NIGC, Tribal policies, State Compact, and Tribal gaming regulations.
• Protects Chinook Winds assets.
• Determines that bets are in compliance with table limits.
• Makes payoffs and collections.
• Identifies and reports any irregularities in play to supervisors.
• Provides technical assistance to customers regarding Chinook Winds games.
• Performs all duties in accordance with Chinook Winds Casino Resort customer service standards.
• Maintains general knowledge and provides information to guests of Chinook Winds Casino Resort events, programs, and services.
• Provides input or recommendations for improvements and changes in processes or services.
• Other duties as assigned.
