The Table Games Dealer is responsible for conducting and controlling the play of a particular game, such as Blackjack, Roulette, Craps, etc. This position requires the dealer to exchange chips for currency and drop currency into a drop box using a paddle. The dealer must ensure that the equipment is in good repair and deal games in the prescribed manner, which includes collecting and paying off bets, protecting the game, and calling out certain transactions to the Supervisor as required. Additionally, the dealer is responsible for checking the accuracy of all fills delivered to the table and must sign for all files. They must countersign for all markers issued, place and remove marker buttons from the layout, and drop marker stubs and/or copies of marker paid slips. Constant observation of players is necessary to protect the game. Dealers spend an estimated 25% of their shift on break and must be available for scheduled work. They are expected to exhibit the Family Service model at all times.
