About The Position

The TABB Technician role at Mesa Energy Systems involves testing, adjusting, and balancing HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance. The technician will interpret blueprints and specifications, collect and analyze test data, and create detailed reports. This position requires both independent work and collaboration with a team, with travel to various project locations as needed.

Requirements

• High School diploma and/or GED Equivalent; a mechanical engineering degree is a plus.
• Journeyman-level experience with HVAC systems.
• 3+ years of TABB industry experience.
• TABB, NEBB, or AABC Certification required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Proficiency in Bluebeam or Adobe Pro is ideal.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Professional demeanor while upholding organizational values.

Responsibilities

• Read, study, and interpret system blueprints, project mechanical drawings, specifications, and performance data.
• Collect and tabulate system test data and make field observations and recommendations.
• Create detailed reports, checklists, and documentation of test results and report any issues.
• Test the performance of air and hydronic systems using tools and specialized test equipment.
• Perform mathematical calculations associated with air and hydronic balancing.
• Work independently and as part of a team.
