About The Position

McKenney's is seeking experienced Test & Balance Technicians to join our team . Our team exists to guarantee the comfort of our customers and the efficiency of their systems. This is mid - level position responsible for performing Testing, Adjusting & Balancing (TAB) of projects to fulfil that purpose in accordance with all NEBB standard s while performing diversified duties as a TAB Technician.

Requirements

• NEBB TAB Certified Technician (or AABC or TABB Certification)
• A minimum of two years’ experience in the TAB industry
• Clean driving record and MVR
• High School Diploma and/or GED equivalent.
• Basic Microsoft Operating System knowledge (Excel & MS Word)

Nice To Haves

• NEBB TAB Certified Technician or NEBB TAB Certified Professional
• Five years of experience in the TAB industry
• Experience in healthcare facility testing.
• Knowledge of ASHRAE 170
• Knowledge of NFPA stairwell pressurization criteria

Responsibilities

• Inspect systems to verify compliance with plans and specifications and to detect potential or existing malfunctions in system components.
• Testing and adjustment of air and hydronic systems, using specialized, company provided, equipment.
• Diagnose, Test, Adjust, and Balance system components to achieve optimal system performance.
• Investigate system and operational deficiencies to determine corrective actions.
• Read and interpret project mechanical drawings, specifications, and equipment performance data to determine proper balancing techniques.
• Maintain proper documentation of daily activities using project specific reporting procedures.
• Pay attention to the details and ensure all Testing, Adjusting, and Balancing performed, as well as any issues discovered are addressed fully using clear verbiage and accompanied with supporting documentation.
• Actively participate in the company’s NEBB TAB Technician Training Program to ensure all required NEBB and company standards and practices are maintained.
• Collaborate with McKenney’s construction foremen and project managers on projects to ensure timely resolution of issues.
