As the TAAF Head Golf Instructor, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of golfers by coaching and guiding participants towards achieving high levels of skill and mastery in the game. To excel as the Head Golf Instructor, a diverse skill set is essential. You must possess a comprehensive understanding of safety hazards and the necessary precautions to ensure a safe environment for all program participants. Familiarity with basic athletic fundamentals, fitness principles, and cultural or social activities will be critical in delivering a well-rounded instructional experience. Proficiency in inventory techniques will help you maintain adequate supplies for the program. A solid grasp of the techniques, principles, and regulations governing recreation, daycare, and sports programs is necessary for effective program management. You should also be adept in lead work principles, enabling you to establish priorities, assign tasks, and resolve any arising issues efficiently. Lastly, the ability to design and implement golf instruction programs tailored to the community’s needs while analyzing and communicating relevant policies will be key to your success in this dynamic role.

Requirements

• Knowledge of safety hazards and necessary safety precautions to sufficiently be able to establish a safe environment for golf program participants.
• Knowledge of basic fundamentals and techniques of athletics, fitness, cultural/social activities and/or arts and crafts sufficient to be able to perform a variety of duties related to the work assignment.
• Knowledge of inventory techniques sufficient to be able to maintain an adequate level of supplies.
• Knowledge of the techniques, principles and regulations of recreation, day care, and sports programs.
• Knowledge of lead work principles and practices sufficient to be able to establish priorities, assign and review work and resolve problems.
• Ability to develop and administer golf instruction programs suited to the needs of the community.
• Plan, organize, coordinate, and direct the development and implementation of golf programs.
• Analyze, interpret, and explain section policies and procedures.
• Supervise and train program participants.
• Must pass a thorough criminal background check due to the sensitivity of the information handled by this position.
