The Department of Revenue's Taxpayer Account Administration (TAA) division has announced an exciting position as a TAA Systems Analyst (Business Analyst - Journey) that supports system functions for excise tax support. This is NOT an end user of the Automated Tax and Licensing Administration System (ATLAS) and does not perform the core work of TAA business teams. This position reports to one of four Program Coordinators in the TAA division. You must be a self-starter, an effective communicator, and have exceptional attention to detail. Taxpayer Account Administration (TAA) is a division within Revenue that administers many programs including forest excise tax, fish tax, cigarette and other tobacco products taxes, local sales tax, tax incentives, and reseller permits. Additionally, the division is responsible for the distribution of state and local taxes, ensuring compliance with the Revised Uniform Unclaimed Property Act, and returning unclaimed property (UCP) to the rightful owners. In support of ATLAS, the journey-level System Specialist/Business Analyst is directly involved in developing, implementing, and maintaining ATLAS and My DOR online services. Serving as the interpreter and communication bridge between technology and business users in the agency. Duties include analyzing the business needs, the impact of proposed changes, and documenting requirements, as well as facilitating the communication and delivery of the requirements with relevant stakeholders. You can also expect to manage ATLAS system changes from the initial request to the final implementation.
