Job Summary Supervise a large crew in construction and maintenance at underground and overhead distribution and transmission systems, including substations. What you will do Supervise and direct linemen and apprentices in safe construction and maintenance at electrical power utilities. Train and develop apprentices. Oversee equipment lineup, operation and maintenance necessary for the job. Promote teamwork to maximize safety and productivity. Oversee paperwork, mapping, timekeeping, safety reports, material issues and returns for each job. Must report to work fit for duty and free from the effects of drug and alcohol abuse. Requirements

  • High School Diploma Required
  • Line School graduate Required
  • Powerline Design and Construction Program 5 to 6 years experience in line construction field
  • Obtain and maintain Class "A" CDL and a valid driver's license
  • Ability to exercise good judgment during emergencies
  • Capacity for accurate decisions and execution
  • Ability to remain calm in emergency situations
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • High degree of analytical ability, high level of interpersonal skills
  • Familiar with all company policies and procedures
  • Basic knowledge of First Aid and CPR
  • Ability to read and comprehend Right to Know information
  • Will be required to work irregular hours during storm emergencies and as needed
