Job Description Job Summary Supervises and performs a variety of work connected with the operations, inspections, and maintenance of combustion turbine sites. Performs varied mechanical, basic electrical and basic instrument and control maintenance activities and other duties necessary to maintain the generation facilities. What you will do Supervises and performs combustion turbine operations, inspections, and maintenance in a safe and efficient manner adhering to all corporate and company guidelines to ensure compliance with all city, state, and federal regulations. Performs job safety briefings, leads tailgate safety meetings, in addition to safety reviews, orientations, and observations. Leads Contractor safety orientations and job safety briefings with all contractors performing work. Plans, coordinates, interfaces with all contractors, and tracks all planned or un-planned outages and documents repairs to Combustion Turbines and ancillary equipment. Ensures that all planned and unplanned outages are coordinated with the appropriate stakeholder(s). Plans all operation and maintenance activities and coordinates resources with other Master Combustion Turbine Technicians at other Combustion Turbine sites to ensure adequate resources to operate and maintain the equipment and facility. Initiates, maintains, develops, and documents maintenance of all equipment utilizing Maximo and predictive and preventive maintenance processes and procedures. Performs and documents routine inspections of the site, combustion turbines, and related equipment, and collects and retains necessary data to support regulatory permit requirements and reporting. Interfaces with the Financial, and Sourcing departments to purchase materials and services to support plant operations and maintenance activities. Maintains performance monitoring and control equipment. Monitors gas and steam turbine performance to maximize financial and operating results. Documents test results as required to maintain an accurate history of performance, repairs and or improvements. Maintains warehouse, orders supplies as needed, and supports inventory activities. Calibrates and repairs recording and indicating instrumentation. Welds with a fair skill to produce safe and reliable repairs and construction. Maintains, operates and repairs water treatment systems. Receives and unloads acid, caustic and other chemicals needed for the operation of the facility. Troubleshoots and repairs the water treatment system controls and valves. Maintains optimum water treatment systems performance. Performs tests and reports data on water treatment systems. Operates mobile and heavy equipment to perform maintenance tasks. Performs various generating plant and shop area housekeeping functions. Performs other duties which are similar, related or incidental to this position. Supports operation and maintenance activities at other generating facilities as needed. Education Requirements High School Diploma or GED Required Experience 3 years in any one or a combination of the electrical, mechanical or instrument and control trades; or 3 years of Combustion Turbine maintenance and operation experience Preferred Experience Supervisory experience Other Requirements Must possess a valid driver’s license. Employees in this job classification are covered by the Residency Policy and will be required to live within 60 minutes of their headquarters. Must be willing to travel. Travel can include occasional overnight stays.
