The Systems Control Technician is responsible for the electrical maintenance execution in the primary discipline of Instrumentation, Controls and Electric distribution. This position will require flexibility in performing both investigative / troubleshooting tasks on PLC's and automated systems primarily on the manufacturing floor while also implementing preventive, and predictive maintenance to eliminate special cause variation and optimize plant efficiency.

Requirements

  • Journeyman or LME Oregon Electrical license
  • An equivalent combination of education, out of state certification, and related work experience will also be considered.
  • Must be able to work 12.5-hour shifts, including holidays if scheduled.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong Electrical and Mechanical troubleshooting skills. Demonstrated ability to use trend data and process test equipment.
  • Manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Ability to work independently: high initiative, self-directed and be results oriented.
  • Skills in teamwork and communication including leadership, problem solving, giving, and receiving feedback.

Responsibilities

  • Ability to analyze electrical, mechanical, and process controls issues to identify root cause, implement corrective action and improve efficiency.
  • An operational knowledge of automated industrial machinery which includes motors, servos, pumps, drives, relays, 3 phase power, communication devices, industrial / electronic controls and power transmission systems.
  • Install, program, and troubleshoot various PLC platforms, VFD's and motion control systems.
  • Troubleshoot and install electrical control circuits based on electrical schematics.
  • Commitment to working safely. Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
  • Willingness to work overtime and adjust work schedules to accommodate shutdown and other business needs, including working nights, weekends, and off-shifts.
  • Create, maintain, and document Preventative Maintenance procedures and processes.
