We have an exciting opportunity for a Systems Support Technician to support EC4 and join the team with GeoControls, a teammate company. We are looking for a dedicated support person to assist in the providing the following services working with the EC4 Process Control and IT teams supporting offices and laboratories at Johnson Space Center Buildings 7,32 and 33. The candidate should have experience working with computers and printers in a Windows environment. The role requires a safety mindset and good organization skills and will involve troubleshooting both hardware and software issues.

Responsibilities

  • Support Additive Manufacturing / 3D Printer Lab in Building 32
  • Watch the 3D print jobs to ensure that printers are performing as required
  • Be familiar with all filament materials
  • Every weekday, ensure routine maintenance including the following:
  • Desiccant is dry
  • All dryer boxes are full
  • Printer beds are clean (both sides)
  • Unused spools are bagged
  • Dehumidifiers are turned on
  • Trash is emptied
  • Check B7 conference rooms early morning
  • Make sure camera, audio, Evoko, & ClickShare devices are functioning
  • No PC/Drivers updates missing
  • No firmware updates needed for Logitech Rally Bar or Clickshare
  • Make sure conference room phones & Logitech controller is functional
  • Full reboot every Monday morning
  • On-boarding & Off-boardings
  • Order & setup / returns
  • Processing transfers
  • Printer Management
  • Monitor toner stock & order as needed
  • Monitor PRTG desktop for toner replacement
  • Troubleshooting
  • Support the logistics IT systems department
  • Basic troubleshooting on IT equipment: Monitors, docking stations, & PCs
  • Maintain inventory sheets
  • Track IT inventory for conference rooms
  • Track firmware updates
  • Toner Inventory
  • Loaner headset for interns
  • Personal office ClickShares
  • EOL technology
