About The Position

At Arch Ford Education Service Cooperative, we believe the early years matter deeply—and the educators who serve young children deserve meaningful, high-quality support. We are seeking a Systems Support Specialist for Early Childhood to join our team and help strengthen systems, support educators, and expand the impact of our early childhood work across the region. This role is ideal for someone experienced in the Early Childhood classroom, passionate about supporting our youngest learners, confident in working alongside educators, and committed to making a lasting difference for young children and families. The Systems Support Specialist for Early Childhood works in partnership with the Local Lead to support high-quality early childhood programs through training, coaching, and systems-level support. This position plays a key role in building educator capacity through professional development, job-embedded coaching, and CLASS observations. The ideal candidate is knowledgeable and experienced in early childhood best practices, skilled in working with adult learners, and able to build strong, trusting relationships with educators and leaders. This role directly impacts the quality of early learning experiences for young children across the region by supporting educators through coaching, training, and meaningful feedback.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood or related field
  • Extensive experience as a teacher in early childhood settings
  • Experience presenting and working with adult learners
  • Strong understanding of child development
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to build relationships
  • Strong organizational skills

Nice To Haves

  • 10+ years in early childhood classroom
  • CLASS Pre-K and Infant/Toddler Observer Certification
  • Experience with coaching adults and providing feedback
  • Experience implementing PreK HQIM, including Frogstreet
  • Experience leading professional development in a variety of topics

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging, high-quality professional development to early childhood teachers and directors
  • Provide job-embedded coaching for teachers
  • Conduct CLASS observations and provide feedback
  • Support implementation of PreK HQIM and best practices
  • Collaborate with Local Lead on initiatives
  • Build strong relationships with educators and partners
  • Use data to guide coaching and PD
  • Maintain documentation in accordance with grant guidelines
  • Provide summer professional development
  • Stay current on best practices
