About The Position

MTSI is seeking to hire a Systems Software Architect to join the team in Los Angeles, California. Contract Overview: Golden Dome is a national-level, whole-of-nation initiative in which you will play a critical role in advancing next-generation homeland defense capabilities. If you are seeking a fast-paced position focused on developing innovative software for the Space-Based Interceptor mission, this opportunity is designed for you. As the Systems Software Architect, you will: Design Software Architecture: Develop and optimize scalable, secure, and high-performance software architectures tailored for space-based interceptor systems within the digital engineering ecosystem. Integrate Engineering Tools: Seamlessly integrate digital engineering tools, including model-based systems engineering (MBSE) platforms, simulation environments, and data analysis tools, to enhance program workflows. Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with engineers, scientists, and program leaders to ensure software systems align with program goals and technical requirements. Leverage Digital Twin Technology: Architect solutions that utilize digital twins to optimize interceptor design, testing, and operational capabilities. Ensure System Security: Develop architectures in compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) cybersecurity and information assurance standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with 15 years’ related experience; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Expertise in modern architecture frameworks, cloud-based solutions, Agile environments, and integration of complex software systems.
  • Experience with digital engineering tools (e.g., Cameo Systems Modeler, MATLAB, STK, or ANSYS) for model-based systems engineering and simulation.
  • Working knowledge of DoD standards, including MIL-STD-881 or relevant policy directives.
  • Exposure to space-based systems, orbital mechanics, and/or missile interceptor technologie
  • Must have an Active Top-Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility
  • 5 years’ prior experience for access to Special Access Program Information (SAP), or Controlled Access Program (CAP); must have 1 year in the last 5 years.
