The Systems Security Engineer-P2 position at Raytheon involves contributing to the Systems Design Directorate team in Fullerton, CA. The role focuses on developing cybersecurity solutions to protect technology used by the Warfighter, leveraging expertise in Anti-Tamper, Software Assurance, and Supply Chain Risk Management. This position requires collaboration in creating security requirements, design artifacts, and policies, as well as conducting audits and compliance checks to ensure robust cybersecurity measures are in place.

  • Support the development of cybersecurity requirements, design and architecture artifacts, plans, and policies.
  • Utilize Linux Bash scripting and Python scripting for security implementations.
  • Define security development and test efforts for networking devices, databases, operating systems, and hardware/software components.
  • Understand and integrate cybersecurity development activities into projects.
  • Support the development of Risk Management Framework (RMF) documents and controls validation testing for Authority to Operate (ATO) accreditations.
  • Perform analysis on cybersecurity collected data and test results.
  • Conduct cybersecurity audits to ensure compliance with security posture.
  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
  • Minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • Experience with systems engineering, including System Requirements definition and analysis, System Test and Analysis, and Systems Engineering Studies.
  • Experience with Linux Bash scripting and Python scripting.
  • DoDI 8570.01-M IAT Level-II Compliant Certification (e.g., Security+, CISSP, or equivalent).
  • Experience with IA vulnerability testing and related network/system test tools (e.g., Retina, NMap, Nessus).
  • Familiarity with information security toolsets including anti-virus, Vulnerability Assessment, HIDS/NIDS, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and SIEM tools.
  • Experience in security systems engineering involving various computer hardware and software solutions.
