About the Team The Systems Engineering team at Nutanix is a customer-focused group of technical sales professionals dedicated to providing exceptional pre-sales consulting, technical guidance, and hands-on assistance. Located in the Central Time Zone, spanning Minnesota and the Dakotas, this team thrives on collaboration and innovation, ensuring that they meet the diverse needs of customers in the Commercial sector. The mission of the team is to establish Nutanix as a leader in enterprise solutions, fostering long-term relationships with both clients and channel partners while delivering tailored technology opportunities aligned with business objectives. You will report to the Sr. Manager, Systems Engineer, who is known for their supportive leadership style that emphasizes mentorship and professional development within the team. The role is fully remote, providing flexibility for the hired candidate, although the expectation is to participate in on-site events and team meetings as needed, typically not requiring in-office presence on a regular basis. This position requires a travel commitment of 30-40%, allowing for the opportunity to engage with customers and partners directly, conducting demonstrations and building relationships that drive Nutanix's sales success.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Sales Engineering, Reseller, or Administration in a high-tech sales environment.
  • Deep understanding of Application Virtualization, Server Virtualization, Networking, Storage, and Platform Performance/Sizing.
  • Proven track record of driving customer adoption of technology and maintaining relationships with technical resources.
  • Experience with selling servers, storage hardware, and networking solutions.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong technical presentation and training capabilities for customers and partners.
  • Exceptional customer focus and account management skills to drive sales performance.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferable experience with VMware technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Drive sales initiatives through technical expertise and account management to meet or exceed revenue goals.
  • Conduct engaging product demonstrations to partners and customers, articulating Nutanix's value proposition.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships, acting as a trusted advisor to clients and channel partners.
  • Participate in pre-sales Proof of Concept deployments, ensuring successful installation and support of Nutanix solutions.
  • Provide technical presentations and training sessions to channel partners and customers remotely or on-site.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to identify and capitalize on technology opportunities that align with customer business objectives.
  • Leverage relationships with reseller and alliance partners to enhance sales performance and expand Nutanix's market presence.
  • Establish a strong foundational knowledge of Nutanix products and solutions within the first year to effectively support customer needs.
