About The Position
The Systems Safety Engineer will assist the Principal for Safety for U.S. Navy Combat Systems in coordinating and executing the safety program. This role involves performing high-level safety analyses reviews and reviewing system designs for safety impacts. The engineer will map system design requirements to safety requirements and prepare various technical documentation and presentations for safety review panels. Additionally, the engineer will be responsible for preparing correspondence letters, MIL-STD-882 documentation, and managing meeting logistics related to safety discussions.
