In addition to steel walls, we manufacture steel steps and benches, aluminum coping, liner track, deck drains, liner bead and other custom fabrications . As a Systems Programmer & Data Specialist you are responsible for creating and maintaining accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs), routers, and machine programs to support efficient manufacturing operations. The position bridges engineering, programming, and production by translating CAD drawings into ERP data and CNC programs while supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Essential Functions of a Packer / Examiner: Create, maintain, and update manufacturing Bills of Materials (BOMs), routers, and item master records within the ERP system (Global Shop). Interpret CAD part and assembly drawings to support BOM accuracy and machine programming. Develop punch machine programs using nesting software (e.g., Sigmanest, TruTops) and export work order data from ERP systems. Generate program documentation, radius sheets, and related production materials using Excel. Collaborate with CAD, production, CNC operators, and customer service to resolve configuration, programming, or routing issues. Support continuous improvement efforts focused on material yield, efficiency, and manufacturing accuracy. Maintain data integrity, quality standards, and proper documentation throughout the manufacturing process. Promote a safe, organized, and professional work environment and perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Experience with ERP systems and BOM management
  • Ability to read and interpret CAD drawings
  • CNC programming or nesting software experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving ability
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
  • Strong time management skills in a fast paced manufacturing environment
