About The Position

As a Systems Operations Analyst reporting to Senior Director, Platform Operations, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and performance of Nasdaq's trading systems and market operations. You will support 24/7 technical operations, troubleshoot real-time issues, and work closely with clients and internal teams to maintain seamless service delivery. You'll thrive in this position if you're detail-oriented, technically skilled, and passionate about keeping global markets running smoothly in a fast-paced, high-impact environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent practical experience in data center, trading, or network operations.
  • 3+ years of experience in technical operations, system administration, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux environments, including administration and troubleshooting.
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, firewalls, load balancing).
  • Clear communicator with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor production systems in real time, identify issues, and troubleshoot software, hardware, and capacity problems to ensure uptime and performance.
  • Support daily market operations, including system startup and shutdown procedures, application updates, and recovery processes.
  • Collaborate with clients, network providers, and internal teams to resolve connectivity and technical issues quickly and effectively.
  • Maintain operational documentation and procedures to support continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
  • Partner with developers and engineering teams to address operations-related challenges and implement solutions.

  • The base pay range for this role is $72,000 - $126,000. In addition to base salary, Nasdaq provides a generous annual bonus/commission (short-term incentive), and equity (long-term incentive), comprehensive benefits, and opportunity for growth. Exact compensation may vary based on several job-related factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to: skill set, experience, education/training, business needs and market demands.
