About The Position

Active Top Secret (TS/SCI) clearance with polygraph is required. Visionist has an exciting new opportunity for a Systems Administrator. You will join our small IT team and growing company to support our headquarter operations. As a Visionist engineer supporting our IT infrastructure, you work with a variety or technologies and systems across multiple locations in our building for operations staff, as well as prime and subcontractor staff on site. Check us out at www.visionistinc.com. ----- Your contributions are… - Maintain, configure, and support the reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, and virtualization in both unclassified and classified spaces - Respond to help desk tickets, install and upgrade computer components and software, manage virtual servers, and integrate automation processes - Troubleshoot hardware and software errors, document problems and resolutions, and assess the impact of issues - Perform backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures - Support capacity, storage planning, database performance, and emerging CMMC L3 and NIST 800-171 compliance measures

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline. (Additional 4 years of experience may substitute degree)
• 5 years of experience in systems administration
• Experience with Linux and/or Windows
• Experience designing, building, and setting up an environment from the ground up
• Experience with switching and routing
• Experience with virtualization (VmWare)
• Experience with AWS and/or Azure, as well as with GCCHigh
• Experience with storage systems
• Experience supporting multiple users at one time, as well as experience using a Jira ticketing system
• Familiarity with CMMC (NIST SP 800-171) requirements
• This position requires the ability to lift and transport equipment weighing up to 50 pounds as part of routine system maintenance and hardware installations. Candidates should be comfortable performing physical tasks associated with physical IT infrastructure support

Responsibilities
