About The Position

The Systems Maintenance Specialist is responsible for troubleshooting electrical, pneumatic, hydraulics, boilers, and air conditioning systems. This role involves major industrial equipment repair and maintaining compliance with the preventative maintenance inspection/work order program within engineering standards in a cost-effective and timely manner. The specialist will perform preventative maintenance and repair work on various systems including boilers, supply air blowers, fuel oil pumps and piping, chillers (both gas and electric), cooling water towers, condensate return systems, water softeners, and the water chemistry program, including testing and treatment.

Requirements

• High school graduate or graduate of technical school in Industrial Maintenance or equivalent work-related experience.
• Two or more years of experience in industrial air conditioning and/or industrial electrical systems and/or water treatment systems and/or steam heating or wood burning boilers and/or major engineering equipment repair.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot electrical, pneumatic, hydraulics, boilers, and air conditioning systems.
• Perform major industrial equipment repair.
• Maintain compliance of preventative maintenance inspection/work order program within engineering standards.
• Perform preventative maintenance and repair work on boilers, supply air blowers, fuel oil pumps and piping, chillers, cooling water towers, condensate return systems, water softeners, and associated tanks and piping.
• Manage the water chemistry program, including testing and treatment.
