The Decision Advantage Business Area within the Defense Sector at Leidos currently has an opening for a Systems Integrator at Beale Air Force Base. This is an exciting opportunity to support the Department of the Air Force. We are seeking a skilled technical professional to support the operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of complex ground-based systems used in customer mission environments. This role focuses on providing advanced field and systems support, ensuring critical infrastructure, communications equipment, and integrated technologies remain reliable, secure, and fully operational. The position includes day-to-day system administration, troubleshooting, fault isolation, issue resolution, and support for both physical and virtual environments. The successful candidate will also assist with updates, security patching, system changes, new installations, testing, and special technical projects. This role requires strong communication and customer engagement skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to users with varying levels of expertise. Familiarity with technical documentation, schematics, specifications, and equipment manuals is also important for success in this position.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or a related field with 8-12 years of prior relevant experience. Additional years of relevant experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Current and Active Top Secret Security Clearance.
  • Current/valid CompTIA Security + Certification or equivalent certification for DoD IAT Level 2 Requirement.
  • Computer systems administration. (Tier 1-2).
  • Operating system (OS) administration (Linux, Windows Server, Windows Client).
  • Software Integration.
  • System patching and software/firmware updates.
  • Network (Switching and Routing) principles and applications.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues with computer/network systems
  • Identification, diagnosis and troubleshooting steps to resolve complex system problems
  • Advanced knowledge on Solaris 11 and Red Hat 7/8 SE Linux Operating systems
  • Advanced knowledge on Cisco Networking devices
  • Experience working TMAN administrative configuration functions
  • SAP Program experience preferred
  • AWS Cloud infrastructure and containerization experience
  • Experience with Active Directory and group policy objects; domain administration.
  • Remote Field Engineering and factory reach-back support.
