About The Position

Peraton is seeking a Systems Integration & Test Engineer to support Integration Test and Check Out (ITCO) activities across a new satellite ground system development program supporting the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). This position will support all Systems Engineering Integration and Test (SEIT) activities throughout the full system lifecycle—from architecture and design through integration, assessment, authorization, and operational deployment. The selected candidate will be responsible for supporting the program’s ITCO function. This role requires close collaboration with other program functional elements including Cyber, Software Engineering, Networks, Infrastructure, Architecture, Operations, Quality and program leadership. Perform system level software and hardware integration and test (I&T) activities for Satellite Ground Station Command and Control applications ensuring system compatibility to meet program technical, schedule and cost objectives. This includes the test and integration of COTS-based systems, hardware and custom software, from the system design phase through development, documentation, installation, and commissioning of the completed system

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 3 years with MS/MA
  • 9 years of relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a bachelor’s degree
  • Ability to obtain and hold a Public Trust clearance – US Citizenship is required
  • Experience with system implementation processes and best practices
  • Experience developing tests scripts using Python, Perl, Powershell, Java, C, etc.
  • Experience with RedHat Linux
  • Experience working in a Cloud Environment using containerization
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment
  • Extensive experience with Windows OS and Microsoft Office products to include Visio Pro
  • Experience with automated testing tools (e.g., Xray, Selenium, Cucumber, etc.)
  • Familiar with the Atlassian tool suite, including Jira, Asset Manager, Confluence, Risk Register, Crucible, Bitbucket, Git, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Generate test plans and procedures for the verification and validation (V&V) of software and hardware components to ensure requirements traceability and test case execution to allow requirement V&V
  • Support test readiness reviews, formal system verification of the system requirements and final test reports
  • Organize, execute, and report on software and hardware testing
  • Recognize and adopt best practices in documentation, testing and efficient use of resources
  • Develop and maintain drawings for system level components
  • Support planning, integration and implementation activities for cloud and on-prem deployments
  • Perform integration design of hardware and software components
  • Create and modify bash scripts
  • Utilize JIRA in an Agile development environment
  • Support development and maintenance of automated testing
