About The Position

Lockheed Martin is seeking a highly skilled Systems Integration and Test Engineer to join our team at the Joint Integrated Test and Training Center – Nellis (JITTC-N), Nellis Air Force Base (AFB), NV. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and overseeing test plans to integrate new simulations. This role requires a unique blend of technical expertise, with a focus on Linux, Linux Red Hat and software integration.

Requirements

  • A current active Top Secret Level Clearance with an investigation completed within the last 5 years is required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Top Secret/SCI and relevant SAP/SAR Clearance.
  • Security + Certification.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field OR High School Diploma OR equivalent experience/combined education.
  • Strong IT background with experience in database management and maintenance, including: Linux and Linux Red Hat operating systems.
  • Experience with software integration, including Diss, Grid, and HLA.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with test planning, test execution, and test automation.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fundamental understanding of military surface to air missile systems.
  • Understanding of Air Force terminology to implement/emulate realistic red forces for test and training.
  • Ability to perform tasks that require prolonged computer use, occasional lifting and movement of equipment, and fine motor skills with hand-eye coordination.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Ability to think critically and make sound judgments in high-pressure situations.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new systems and technologies.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous or active DoD Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
  • Experience with simulation-based systems and JSE enterprise.
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies and version control systems.
  • Certification in Linux or related IT field.
  • Experience with test management tools and methodologies.
  • Experience with simulation systems and mission execution.

Responsibilities

  • Performs analysis of test results and prepares comprehensive subsystem and/or system level evaluation.
  • Conduct systems integration & testing of existing simulators and analyze the trends of device performances on the JTB.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize testing requirements.
  • Utilize expertise in software integration, including Distributed Interactive Simulation (Diss); Grid computing; High-Level Architecture (HLA).
  • Run test scripts, test cases, and test data to support integration testing.
  • Ensure compliance with IT security protocols and procedures, maintaining the integrity of the system.
  • Coordinates subsystem and/or system testing activities with programs and other organizations.
