About The Position

IEM is seeking a full‑time Systems Integration Tech Lead to join its Critical Infrastructure division. This role leads the design and strategic oversight of complex system integrations across enterprise applications, data platforms, and operational technologies supporting mission‑critical and emergency management environments. Serving as a subject matter expert (SME) for multi‑system integrations, the position ensures system interoperability, accurate data flow, and alignment with integration standards, IT policies, and solution architecture. The role collaborates with project teams, clients, vendors, and executive stakeholders to deliver end‑to-end integration solutions, while approving integration designs, data models, and technical specifications. The role develops integration standards and best practices; oversees high‑complexity testing, validation, and deployments; leads client workshops and executive briefings; manages vendor dependencies; and provides technical leadership during emergency activations and restoration efforts.

Requirements

  • Experience: Five (5) years or more of IT Experience in a similar role.
  • Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience with Integration Tools such as MS Azure, Java EE, IBM MQ.
  • Knowledge of Web services, Rest API and SaaS.
  • Understanding of the typical utility applications and their connection to each other (CIS, GIS, OMS, etc.) and associated application landscape including AMI.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience: Three (3) to Five (5) years of experience in Electric Utility.
  • Bilingual: Fluent verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

  • Support, maintain, and enhance system integrations across enterprise applications, data sources, operational technologies, and core business systems at LUMA.
  • Enforce and support LUMA integration standards, approved technology platforms, IT policies, and solution architecture requirements.
  • Develop, maintain, and update integration architecture schematics, diagrams, documentation, and related artifacts.
  • Partner with project teams and stakeholders to gather integration requirements, document workflows, and translate operational needs into technical specifications.
  • Serve as LUMA’s Subject Matter Expert (SME) for integrations across core connected systems, including Oracle CC&B, Meter Reading systems, AMI platforms, and related technologies.
  • Plan, configure, test, validate, and support end‑to-end integrations to ensure reliability, performance, and compliance with LUMA standards.
  • Review and approve integration design documents to ensure alignment with LUMA IT standards, architectural guidelines, and business requirements.
  • Ensure integration design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance activities align with LUMA standards and solution architecture.
  • Analyze system behavior, troubleshoot integration issues, and support timely resolution across connected systems.
  • Collaborate with internal technical teams, software vendors, engineers, and project managers to successfully deliver integration solutions for LUMA.
  • Drive continuous improvement of integration processes, tools, standards, and methodologies.
  • Support emergency response activations, storm restoration efforts, drills, and exercises as assigned or required by LUMA.
  • Comply with all LUMA policies, procedures, safety requirements, and regulatory standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, consistent with the scope, responsibilities, and experience required for the role.
