Job Summary: This internship provides broad exposure across multiple engineering functions, including System Requirements, System Architecture, Modeling & Simulation, Reliability, Safety, Hazardous Materials Engineering, Human Factors, and Configuration Management. Interns support real program work while learning how complex systems are designed, analyzed, and controlled throughout their lifecycle. The Systems & Engineering Integration Intern will gain hands-on experience across multiple engineering disciplines, mentorship from senior level engineers and exposure into relevant professional experience.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or a related technical field
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
  • Interest in multidisciplinary systems engineering
  • Clear communication skills and ability to work with diverse engineering teams
  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree (BSc Engineering including Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, Aerospace) from four-year college or university and one to two years related experience and/or training ; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must undergo and meet company standards for background check, employment verification, reference checks, physical, and controlled substance testing.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with engineering tools or data analysis is helpful but not required
  • Ability to review and manipulate components in 3D modelling software (CREO, etc.)
  • Interest and experience in: Military history/technology Firearms and related optics Videogames (real time strategy, 1st person shooter or RPG) interest and experience Robotics interest/experience 3D printing, welding, wood shop, metal shop or other fabrication technologies

Responsibilities

  • Assist with developing and maintaining system requirements and documentation
  • Support modeling, simulation, and basic engineering analyses
  • Contribute to reliability, safety, and hazard‑related assessments
  • Help review materials, compliance data, and environmental documentation
  • Participate in human‑factors evaluations and usability activities
  • Support configuration management tasks such as change tracking and documentation updates
