About The Position

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking a motivated Systems Engineer to support the MQ-25 Program located in Berkeley, MO . The selected candidate will assist in systems of systems integration and verification efforts, serving as a technical resource. Boeing is advancing the future of unmanned aircraft carrier aviation for the U.S. Navy with the MQ-25. This unmanned aircraft system is designed to enhance the Navy's capabilities by providing robust refueling support, thereby extending the operational range of the carrier air wing. Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Associate and Experienced Level System Engineers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
  • 2+ years of work-related experience with a Bachelor's degree OR work related experience with a Master's degree
  • 2+ years of experience in avionics and/or systems integration
  • This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years of work-related experience with a Bachelor’s OR 3+ years with a Master's degree.
  • 2+ years in the Aerospace Industry experience
  • System Design and Integration Experience (interface exchanges, subsystem coordination…etc)
  • System Test / Formal Verification Planning and Execution Experience
  • Test Automation Experience (Scripting, Test Deployment Systems, UI Testing Tools, etc.)
  • System & Software Problem Investigation & Debugging Experience
  • Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering
  • Experience with DOORS (Dynamic Object Oriented Requirements System)
  • Experience with unmanned aerial systems
  • Applicants must have good communication, analytical, and organizational skills and be able to work in a team environment
  • Knowledge of systems engineering design concepts and techniques

Responsibilities

  • Assist with system of systems integration and verification activities.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of system verification testing within the Hardware in the Loop (HITL) lab environment.
  • Contribute to the development of a system test automation and deployment solution
  • Assist with system functional design, documentation, and implementation efforts
  • Collaborate with technical leads, other program Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), suppliers, and the U.S. Navy customer as needed.
  • Help manage and ensure deliverables are submitted on time.
  • Contribute to defining plans for risk mitigation and identifying opportunities.
