Requirements

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of dependencies between various electrical & mechanical systems.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in automotive or complex systems development.
  • Experience with systems engineering / automotive network architecture / vehicle integration.
  • Strong working knowledge of automotive electrical systems and communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet) and relevant debug tools.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced development environment.
  • Good team player with great communication skills
  • Proactively collaborate cross-functionally with other teams to solve vehicle-level integration problems.
  • Flexibility to travel domestically/internationally (up to 25%).
  • Clean driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Support program-level system integration efforts, ensuring seamless interaction between new hardware and existing software.
  • Assist in the bring up of system and subsystem assets such as HILs, labcars, mules, and pre-production prototype vehicles.
  • Integrate RivianVW’s next generation vehicle platforms into future Rivian and VW Brand vehicles.
  • Develop, execute, and manage test plans for software readiness throughout development stages from early prototypes to SOP.
  • Perform hands-on ad-hoc testing across various domains such as controls, connectivity, infotainment, and platform both pre and post merge.
  • Debug, root cause, and triage complex issues across hardware, electrical, and software and drive the implementation of the solutions.
  • Aid in the maintenance, validation, and delivery of software for system assets across the myriad of brands in various stages of development.
