Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience performing systems engineering or integration in DoD satellite systems or ground systems.
  • 5+ years of experience with space system and DoD program reviews.
  • 2+ years of experience with performing the risk management process on space, ground, software, and hardware systems.
  • Experience with identifying, analyzing, and proposing program risks, issues, and opportunities.
  • Ability to be highly motivated and display a dynamic work ethic.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and work collaboratively.
  • Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Computer Science.

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of experience with the Military Satellite Communications Mission area.
  • 2+ years of experience with space acquisition.
  • Experience with a software program utilizing Agile methodologies.
  • Experience with Confluence or JIRA.
  • Experience working with software factories or DevSecOps pipelines.
  • Ability to learn and solve problems quickly and creatively.
  • Top Secret clearance.
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or Computer Science.
  • Agile Certification such as CSM, CPO, PMI-ACP, or ICP.
  • INCOSE Systems Engineering Professional Certifications such as ASEP, CSEP, or ESEP.

Responsibilities

  • Perform systems engineering or integration in DoD satellite systems or ground systems.
  • Conduct space system and DoD program reviews, including SRR, SDR and SFR, PDR, CDR, MRR, TRR, FCA, or PCA.
  • Perform the risk management process on space, ground, software, and hardware systems for Major Defense Acquisition Programs.
  • Identify, analyze, and propose program risks, issues, and opportunities, and manage handling plans.
  • Use Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook effectively.
  • Utilize a Model-Based Systems Engineering or Digital Engineering approach to manage system definitions and technical baselines.
  • Communicate and work collaboratively on a cross-functional team and independently.
