Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship Required
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field and 5+ years of experience, or Master’s degree and 3+ years of experience
  • Clearance: Active U.S. Government DoD Secret clearance (required at time of hire)
  • Experience supporting software-centric system development (preferably in system-of-systems environments)
  • Proficiency in C++, Java, and Ada
  • Ability to write or modify scripts to support testing and integration activities
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with a working knowledge of Linux environments
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Nice To Haves

  • Current Security+ certification
  • Experience with GMD and/or Missile Defense Agency (MDA) systems
  • Familiarity with Linux GUI tools such as Eclipse and GNAT Programming Studio (GPS)
  • Experience with software containing GUIs and mathematical/logical processing in Linux
  • Knowledge of full software development lifecycle (SDLC) with an integration/test focus

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain lab and mini node configurations, including updates and installations using Red Hat Package Manager (RPM)
  • Execute lab runs to test and verify new software capabilities; conduct daily log file monitoring and management
  • Develop scenarios and input files to evaluate software behavior under specific test conditions
  • Perform message tracing within the GFC system to validate software functionality
  • Document anomalies, collect logs, and support root-cause investigations in collaboration with developers
  • Participate in daily Agile Scrum meetings to communicate progress and blockers
  • Maintain Security+ certification and complete privileged user account training
