About The Position

In-Depth Engineering is seeking Systems Engineers to support Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) development efforts. BMD is the primary sea-based component of the U.S. missile defense system, integrating multiple capabilities through an advanced command and control system. In this role, you will perform requirements analysis and architecture, and develop technical solutions to complex problems requiring ingenuity and creativity. The work is performed on-site at the customer site in Moorestown, NJ.

Requirements

US Citizen
Active DoD Secret Clearance
BS degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline
5+ years of related experience
Proficient in the following areas: Linux, Bash scripting, MATLAB
Algorithm design & development experience
Physics background and Trajectory analysis
Proficient in C++ and Python

Nice To Haves

Master’s degree or PhD in Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or closely related STEM field
Strong research, analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience with an Agile framework or Atlassian tools such as Jira or Confluence
Experience working in a DevSecOps environment
Experience with engineering tools such as DOORs, Git or Cameo
Familiarity or interest in Model-Based Systems Engineering solutions

Responsibilities

Threat model development, data analytics, threat behavior analysis
Gathering requirements, defining system functionality and developing system requirements
Developing and executing test plans and procedures
Troubleshooting, debugging and identifying solutions for system capabilities
Taking ownership for increasingly difficult tasks, completing them on schedule, documenting results, and leading demonstrations
