We are looking for you to join our team as a Systems Engineering Manager 2, supporting G/ATOR programs and personnel in our Advanced Land Sensors (ALS) portfolio in the Maritime & Land Sensors and Systems (MLSS) Division. This position will be 100% on-site at our Linthicum, MD location.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 8 years of experience, a Master's degree with 6 years of experience, or a PhD with 4 years of experience in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics or other related technical fields.
  • U.S Citizenship is required.
  • A current / active DoD Secret Clearance.
  • 5 years of experience in systems development, integration, and/or test.
  • 3 years of experience people management or IPT leadership.
  • 2 years of experience as a Control Account Manager (CAM).
  • 1 year of experience working with the Systems Engineering V-Model and executing the systems engineering work flow.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degrees in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics or other related technical fields.
  • Active DoD Top Secret Clearance or higher.
  • Knowledge of hiring, staffing, engineering metrics, training resources, processes, and tools.
  • Multi-disciplinary engineering experience and exposure (Software/Digital, Hardware, Electrical, Systems) and strong ability to communicate cross functionally.
  • Knowledge and experience with AN/TPS-80 G/ATOR.
  • Knowledge and experience with ground radars and AESA radar development, design, test.
  • Experience with technical risk and opportunity management.
  • Experience in both domestic and international radar business.
  • Experience supporting USMC and/or USAF customer.
  • Experience managing contracts of $10M+.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor direct reports based on goals, objectives, and company policies.
  • Ensure adherence to standard systems engineering processes.
  • Provide staffing to programs with systems engineering competencies.
  • Manage workload forecasting, hire/develop new systems engineering talent.
  • Prepare, manage, and conduct performance reviews.
  • Support proposal activities (lead, technical/management volume development, Basis of Estimate (BOE) development/defense).
  • Direct the execution of the overall systems engineering, integration, and test (SEIT) effort across the SELS program.
  • Manage the vertical and horizontal technical integration throughout the product teams and across the SELS program.
  • Plan and execute the Systems Engineering Core Functions.
  • Ensure the integrity of engineering processes, and timely development of core engineering work products.
  • Coordinate between the System Architect, Chief Engineer, Integrated Product Teams (IPT), program management office, and customer to ensure the integrity and executability of the program technical baseline.
  • Serve as a Control Account Manager (CAM), which comprises cost and schedule management for the SEIT work scope.
  • Oversee configuration management of the program technical baseline.
  • Manage risk and opportunity and the production of core engineering work products and track the work products and associated program dependencies in the program schedule.
  • Serve as a primary technical interface with the customer.
  • Develop capital and development projects to support strategic capture plans.
  • Align measurement objectives and activities to meet program performance goals and objectives.
  • Mentor IPT leaders, fostering their professional growth and development by providing guidance, sharing expertise, and supporting them in achieving strategic objectives.
  • Plan and execute engineering staffing activities, and ensure the project team has qualified staff to execute the program core functions.
  • Support Engineering Metrics Collection and Management.
  • Plan, execute, and close out Systems Engineering sections of technical program reviews.
